Trivago Brochure And Newsletter

The internet has taken over the world, and with it, website design. Website design has evolved insurmountably since its start, and now has limitless possibilities. Right now I am using a website to make a website, a sort of websiteception. Theres a lot to think about when designing a website, especially as phones garner a majority of clicks. This has driven many website designers to have taken a mobile-first approach when designing an adaptive website. A large part of the process for website designers is sketching out their ideas on paper. This is called making a wireframe, and includes the locations of things, but none of the actual content.

Wireframes are important because they are more malleable, easier to change, and easier to interact with as opposed to actually coding your website from scratch. They are an architects blueprint, a painters sketch, or a soccer teams practice. I decided to sketch some wireframes up for myself, for the annoyingly over advertised travel booking company, Trivago. I made a wireframe for a newsletter and a wireframe for their websites home page, and then eventually used those wireframes to create a final image of what was being sketched out on the wireframes.

Before I sketched these wireframes, I rustled through my email to find some newsletters, and used inspiration from those designs to create something myself. I did the same for the website home, finding what was common, and essential, and applying those principles  into my design.

Once I had my wireframes sketched out, then I collected images and ideas from the internet to fill in the holes the wireframes create.
